Preparation for a profession in orchestra option
This option responds to a need in the field by training musicians capable of meeting the requirements of professional orchestras, as soon as they graduate from the DNSPM. It also allows them to continue their studies at the master’s level.
Programme specifications
The “Preparation for a Profession in Orchestra” option is implemented through a partnership agreement with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse (ONCT) For this reason, several soloists have joined the team of teachers at isdaT. In addition to the common core courses outlined in the DNSPM curriculum and the instrumental improvement with a focus on repertoire, special attention is given to learning the orchestral repertoire and preparing for competitions:
- Regular lessons with the soloists of the ONCT (years 1-2-3)
Masterclass on the features of an orchestra (years 1-2-3)
Competition simulations (years 1-2-3)
Job shadowing (years 1-2-3)
Rehearsals and concerts (years 2-3 depending on the level) at the ONCT.
