The technical aptitude examination (EAT) is a compulsory prerequisite for enrolling in the course for the Diplôme d’État de Professeur de Danse.
The EAT is organised into two sessions per calendar year in spring and autumn, in the examination centres designated by the Ministry of Culture. The isdaT performing arts department is the coordinating examination centre for candidates domiciled in the Midi-Pyrénées, Rhône-Alpes, Languedoc-Roussillon, Corsica and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions.
The terms and conditions of enrolment and organisation are specified in the explanatory note published by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and addressed to EAT candidates. This note is available on their website, along with the imposed variations and their brochure.
The candidates can attend the session of their choice, however, only those candidates who have obtained a grade of at least 9 out of 20 on the first session are able to attend the second session. Re-enrolment for the second session is not automatic for candidates who have been accepted to the catch-up session. A complete application must be resubmitted. In the event of multiple applications, one complete application for each option presented must be constituted.
The enrolment applications must be withdrawn from the DRAC of the candidate’s place of residence or downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Culture. Any requests for dispensation must be addressed to the DRAC from the candidate’s place of residence.
The first session of EAT enrolments for 2017 in classical, contemporary and jazz options are close since July 15, 2017. For the next session, the enrolment applications must be withdrawn from the DRAC of the candidate’s place of residence or downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Culture. Any incomplete file or all file submitted after the closing date officially announced by the Ministry of Culture, attested by the postmark, will not be taken into consideration.
The variations imposed and their associated brochure are available online on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
